2nd Piano Student (in Virginia)
On Sunday, a co-worker brought her son, Tyler, for his first piano lesson. He did very well; I was impressed at how quickly he cought on. He currently plays the Viola so that helped already having a musical background. My first student down here was Russell. After we bought my piano, he asked if I would teach him. He also has a musical background and is rapidly progressing despited his working full time and going to school full time and grading for Dr. Klem, etc. We fit his lessons in whenever we are home together with time to "spare".
I taught piano lessons to my brother, Kyle, and kids from my church in NY. I'm glad to be teaching again as I've really missed it!

Katie,

I'm using Alfred's Adult books for Russell and Tyler since they both have a musical background. I own Faber & Faber and Alfred series. I learned on Bastien, but don't care for them.

Lindsay & Katie,
If you hear of anyone wanting their child to take lessons please feel free to give out my number. Thanks! I'd love to have a few more so I can go part time at my 40 hour job. I think that my back would greatly benefit not being on my feet for 8 hours a day 5 days a week!!
